Meet our employee of the month:

Strawberry aka Mama Strawberry

Strawberry has dedicated over 2 months of her summer to laying diligently on eggs with the hopes of becoming a new mama. Sadly, her eggs were not fertilized so it was up to her “tenders” to help her out. The “tenders” serendipitously found buff brahma chicks at the local tractor supply and brought them to her. (Video coming with the process). She was overjoyed and speechless! Her maternal instincts quickly turned up to high gear and tended to her new chicks every need. Mama strawberry and her babies are safely kept in their own enclosure for their safety and protection.

Fun facts:

Strawberry is a buff brahma chicken breed.

Her breed of chickens are excellent egg layers during the winter months.

Brahmas lay medium sized, light brown eggs.

They're known to be docile and friendly chickens.

Our brahma chickens remain true to this popular characteristic. They allow

the "mini tenders," aka children, on the homestead to hold them and carry them.

Thanks for stopping by!!!
